Tour Overview

Discover two extraordinary World Heritage experiences of southwestern Bangladesh in one carefully planned day. This unique journey combines the natural heritage of the Sundarbans with the remarkable architectural and cultural heritage of the Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat.

The day begins early in the morning with a boat journey from Mongla to Karamjal, one of the designated ecotourism destinations of the Sundarbans. Here, guests can explore the mangrove environment and visitor facilities, including the crocodile, deer and turtle conservation areas, the Batagur baska (Northern River Terrapin) conservation project, information facilities, forest walking trails, watchtower viewpoints and the characteristic wooden bridge.

After completing the Karamjal experience, return to Mongla for lunch before continuing by reserved vehicle to Bagerhat. The afternoon focuses on the magnificent Shait Gumbad Mosque (Sixty Dome Mosque), a key monument of the Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat, followed by a visit to the Khan Jahan Ali Mausoleum and its historic pond.

Subject to available time, site access and the day's schedule, guests may also visit selected nearby historic mosques, including the Nine-Domed Mosque, Three-Domed Mosque and One-Domed Mosque.

Designed especially for international visitors and travellers with limited time, this private day tour offers an exceptional opportunity to experience the Sundarbans and the Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat—two UNESCO World Heritage properties—in a single day.
